A pair of seniors and a coach earned regional honors yesterday for the Central men’s track and field team. Eli Horton was chosen as the Division III Central Region men’s track athlete of the year; Eric Larson was the men’s field athlete of the year, and Coach Joe Dunham was dubbed the men’s Central Region coach of the year. Horton, an All-American, possesses three school records and will run in his final NCAA National Indoor Championship of his career, competing in the mile and distance medley relay. Larson has the top heptathlon score in Division III this year, and is a two-time national champion. He will compete in the multi-event affair, as well, in North Carolina. This is the third straight indoor season that Dunham has been named the regional coach of the year. The National Indoor Meet will be held tomorrow and Saturday in Winston-Salem.
