Even without Tuesday’s wild doubleheader sweep over Simpson taken into account, the Central softball team found themselves a few rungs higher in the most recent NFCA Division III rankings. Once 19th, the Dutch are now 16th after going 5 – 1 in their home three-day tournament last week, and currently sit with a 20 – 6 record and are off to a 2 – 0 start in a loaded Iowa Conference. Simpson is still tenth while Luther stood pat at fifth. Central’s women’s and men’s track teams each fell just one place in the most recent Division III computer rankings. The women are now 17th and the men are 20th. Central softball is off until Saturday when they go to Wartburg, and the track teams host their Central Invitational at Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium today.
