Another night of good weather and even better performances was the synopsis of Pella’s Thursday at two separate track and field meets. The Little Dutch finished third during their time at Waukee, behind only the Warriors and Ames, the latter of which only beat Pella by 1.5 points. First place went to Garret Jansen in both the shot put and discus, while the 4 x 800 meter relay team also broke the tape first. Isaak Webb in the 400 and Austin Hill in the shot put both took silver. Nearly every single event the Pella girls competed in last night at Newton turned in season-best results. The Lady Dutch easily blew away the competition, scoring 174 points, with second place going to Cedar Rapids Prairie, who had 96.5. Fourteen different events had a Pella name either first or second on the list. Full results for the Lady Dutch can be found below. The teams are anxious awaiting to see what events officially get qualified for the Drake Relays next week.
