A young and mostly inexperienced Pella Christian girls’ golf team will step up into the tee box for their first meet of the season today when they host a triangular against Des Moines Christian and Carlisle at the Pella Golf and Country Club. Autumn Vos will be looked at to lead an Eagles’ team that features golfers making their varsity competition debut. Coach Larry Hessing says for an opening meet, it’s nice for the younger gals to be on a course they are somewhat comfortable with, and adds that it should be a nice measuring stick for his team individually. Everything tees off at the Pella Golf and Country Club at 4:15 p.m.
