After nearly eight months of waiting, the 60th season at the Knoxville Raceway will open up tonight. All three sprint car classes will be in action including what looks like a loaded 410 field. Ian Madsen is the defending champion…and he says with the likes of Danny Lasoski, Brian Brown, Terry McCarl, and Tim Kaeding racing weekly, whoever wins the title this season will have earned it. Many of the Knoxville weekly 410 drivers including Madsen are also racing the full National Sprint League Schedule. The N-S-L has purposely scheduled no races on Saturdays unless they are racing in Knoxville this season to allow the Knoxville weekly drivers to run for both championships. Joe Beaver is the reigning 360 champion and J. Kinder is the defending 305 title holder, both will be back to defend their crowns. You can listen to all of the action starting with Live Track Side at five and Race Night’s Live at seven on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA and streamed live at kniakrls.com.
