Beginning their return march towards yet another girls’ golf state tournament berth, Pleasantville began their season yesterday at home against PCM and Melcher-Dallas. The Trojans defeated the Mustangs by 34 strokes. The Saints did not have enough golfers to qualify for a team score. PCM’s Breanna Maher was the meet medalist with a round of 39, and the Trojans’ Hannah Gordon shot a 44 for runner-up honors. Maher’s sub-40 round is a new school record for nine holes. Coach Dan Calhoun tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that his girls were not happy with how they performed, shooting a team score of 206. Kirsten Mull led the Saints with a round of 55. Catch full results below.
