It was an exciting day of tennis at Caldwell Park yesterday. The Pella High boys defeated Boone, 7 – 4. The top four singles players were victorious for the Dutch, all in straight sets. Jamison Roozeboom – Tom Pettit and Sam Dykstra – Colin Jones had the easiest two doubles wins for Pella, and the drama came in No. 3 – 5 doubles. All three matches went to three sets and tiebreakers. The Lady Dutch did not have as good of a time on the road against Boone. They dropped 10 – 1 to the Toreadors. Pella’s only win came at No. 1 singles, as Lily Roozeboom toppled Emma Rose, 6 – 3 and 7 – 5. Full results for both match-ups can be found below. Pella’s girls will play Indianola next on Friday, and the boys are in tournament action at Knoxville this Saturday.
