As the calendar is about to turn over to May, our area golf teams will start to dig in and focus on a strong conclusion to the regular season as they prepare for sectional and district tournaments. Over in Monroe on Monday, PCM hosts their boys’ invitational at Gateway Golf Course. The Mustangs welcome Pella Christian, Grinnell, and many others for a quick tourney after many events got washed out over the weekend. One big issue for teams and individuals to deal with is the mental side of golf. Coach Jim Dingeman has been preaching to his Eagles that a meet is not over until it’s over. It’s an early tee-off time for Monday’s meet, which is scheduled to get going at 1:00 p.m.
