Competing in the smaller schools class, Pella Christian’s boys’ and girls’ track and field teams both looked stellar during their stay at Oskaloosa on Saturday. On the boys’ side, they finished with 87 points, good for second place in their division. Among the highlight performances include a win in the long jump by Jon Larson, and Joel Larson was runner-up in the 200 meter dash. Jacob Lensing and Grant Dunsbergen were second and third, respectively, in the 3200. PC’s girls came up with 151 points, winning their Class B division by 24 over Sigourney. Sarah Meyer clocked in first in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.90. Marina Shannon won the 400 and 800 meter dashes, and she and Alyssa Starkey were 2-3 in the 1500.
