It’s the beginning of the golf season for Pella High’s girls today, welcoming Grinnell and Pella Christian onto the Pella Golf and Country Club course. The Eagles began their season last week, with Autumn Vos getting off to a good start for her team. The Lady Dutch have just about everyone back from last year’s group, which sent one individual to the state tournament in Coach Mike Vint’s first season back at the helm. The Tigers also lost a small amount of seniors; one, to be exact. Lady Dutch coach, Mike Vint, and Eagles’ coach, Larry Hessing, both say that the Little Hawkeye Conference for girls’ golf will be an interesting cat as the season goes on, as several teams did not part with much talent. Today’s tee-off is scheduled for 4:15 p.m.
