A Pella man passed away after he fell from a bluff along a hiking trail in Minnesota.
The Red Wing Police Department in Minnesota says that Frank Gritters, 81, of Pella died Tuesday from injuries that he sustained during a fall from an incline. Employees at a wastewater treatment plant located at the base of the bluff called police after spotting Gritters stranded. Emergency crews arrived and witnessed the fall.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Christian Reformed Church. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Calvary Christian Reformed Church where the family will be present Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to Pella Christian Grade School, Pella High School or Rehoboth Christian School.
