The Pella School Board rolled out a revised calendar for the 2015-16 school year this week.
Superintendent Greg Ebeling says the first day of school will be Monday, August 24th. The move corresponds with a bill signed by Governor Branstad, which means traditional school can start no earlier than August 23rd. Ebeling says spring break will fall on the week leading up to Easter next March, which will not be in line with Central and Pella Christian’s vacation as it was this year. The board also moved to waive the last day of this academic year, which will now end on Friday, May 29th.
