There were some positives and highlights to Central’s softball split with Coe yesterday in Cedar Rapids. Senior Abbie Strajack had five hits, giving her 204 for her career, besting the previous high by Molly Parrott by three. The Dutch won game one, 10 – 4, but stumbled a bit in game two, losing an 8 – 6 decision. Karlee Rock extended her own school record by hitting her 13th home run of the season in game one. An influx of games are ahead for the Dutch, as they’ll be at home for two against Buena Vista on Saturday, followed by a make-up home doubleheader with Luther on Sunday.
