Though the Iowa Senate passed a bill last week that expanded the use of medical marijuana, it was a tight vote that left some state senators thinking it puts the cart before the horse.
District 14 State Senator Amy Sinclair feels that way. She voted against the bill, stating she felt there were too many loopholes in areas of consumer protection, product safety, and the patient’s understanding that they can still face federal prosecution.
