Over 140 volunteers gathered together to participate in A Call to Serve Ministries’ (ACTS) annual Service Surge in Chariton, Knoxville, Pella, Prairie City, Sully and Teshie, Ghana, Africa.
“This year we were pleased for the first time to partner with the communities of Prairie City and Sully, ” said Joe Vos, ACTS board president.
The Service Surge is a once a year event that aims to engage a large number of volunteers in communities to make an impact on communities they serve. This is a part of ACTS 9th Service Surge in the last seven years. ACTS Ministries utilizes short-term, local projects to provide opportunities for those interested in serving others through the work of their hands.
