With the score tied 4-4 in the bottom of the 5th inning, Central College’s Super Regional softball game against Linfield was halted last night due to severe weather. The Dutch fell behind 4-0 on a Danielle Duman grand slam with two outs in the third, but Central scored 3 times in the fourth and once in the fifth to tie the game. Central is still batting in the fifth, with runners on second and third, nobody out, and a 2-0 count on cleanup hitter Kaitlyn Matzen. Weather permitting, the action will resume at 10:00 this morning, with game two following immediately after. If necessary, the third game of the series could still be played this afternoon, or moved to tomorrow, and that decision will be made after the conclusion of game two.
