For the 32nd time in program history, Central’s men’s golf team won the Iowa Conference tournament, beating the other seven schools for the fourth straight round to earn a spot in the NCAA Division III National Tournament. The Dutch put up a 298 on Saturday to score 52-over par for the four-round tourney and defeated second-place Wartburg by 29 strokes. Desmond Stoll was the overall medalist, with a total score of 289, and is the first league player of the year from Central since 2011. His total score is tied for the third lowest in league championship history. The National Tournament takes place May 12 – 15 at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina.
