Pella Christian’s girls’ soccer team blanked their first opponent of the season last night, defeating Knoxville, 2 – 0. The Eagles applied the pressure early and often, finding themselves on the correct end of several odd-man rushes and putting several shots on goal. The Eagles’ tallies came from Sarah Posthuma and Cailey Terpstra. PC is now 3 – 8 on the season, while the Panthers drop to 1 – 10. Knoxville plays C-M-B this Thursday, while the Eagles return to action tonight against Grinnell.
