Knoxville Baseball went on the road to Winterset last night and played both shorthanded and two hours early to avoid potentially bad weather. The early start did not slow down the Knoxville offense, as they scored nine runs in the first three innings to jump out to a 9-1 lead. Kevin Woodhouse got things started with a solo home run in the first. Tony Salato and D-J Snyder each had two R-B-I for Knoxville. Sophomore pitcher Cam Liston earned the win and was very impressive giving up just one run on two hits, striking out seven in five innings of work. Knoxville Baseball improves to 2-0 on the young season, and are scheduled to host the Clarke Indians in a doubleheader tonight at home.
