Knoxville City Council
The Knoxville City Council approved the creation of a Tourism Advisory Committee to help the city decide what to do with hotel/motel tax funds.

The commission will be comprised of seven members, including four city residents and a representative each from the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, Marion County, and the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum or Knoxville Raceway boards.
Also, the council directed city staff to move forward with the demolition of the awning at Cozy Corner Apartments on Robinson Street at city’s expense as part of the Streetscape project.
