The Knoxville Education Foundation is putting on their annual retired teacher’s dinner Wednesday.

Foundation president David Hoke says it was decided over a decade ago that retired teachers in the area be honored annually. He says they look forward to coming to the event and reconnecting with fellow retirees.
Hoke says there will be a lot of new faces this year after a record number of teachers retired from the Knoxville Community School District.
The private event will also feature entertainment from Katie Davis and her Folk Group Friends.
