It was a nail-biter at Caldwell Park on Saturday in the Class 1A tennis team regional tournament. Coming down to the last match, Pella High was able to take two-of-three doubles contests to edge Oskaloosa 5 – 4, and advance to the regional final. The Lady Dutch started with a five-match sweep of Albia in round one, with singles victories from Lily Roozeboom, Lauren Kriegel, Anna Jaarsma, Anne Williamson, and Cecily Johnson. Pella and the Indians split their six singles matches in the semifinals, and with all eyes on the tandem part of the match, the teams of Jaarsma/Williamson and Johnson/Elyse Sadler won in straight sets to secure the winner.
