On the last day of school, Lincoln Elementary students got a preview of what their new home will look like.
Kids of all grades had the chance to tour the new Lincoln construction site. Principal Rich Schulte says Estes Construction prepared a safe zone inside the new structure so kids could see the work that’s been completed to far.
“I can’t say enough about Estes Construction in leading this project,” Schulte says. “They took time to make things safe, to at least let the kids see a portion of the facility.”
Second Graders Katie Meyer and Garrett O’Halloran were both impressed with the new construction.
“It was cool to see what the concrete was like underneath the metal,” Meyer says.
“It was pretty cool because we got to see maybe what our classroom would look like next year and the gym, and I’m pretty excited for the gym,” O”Halloran says.
Kindergartners Cameron Smith and William Van Vark describe their favorite parts.
The building is expected to be ready for classes in January 2016.
