Mixing things up a bit before the state qualifying meet on Thursday, Twin Cedars and Melcher-Dallas’ boys’ and girls’ track and field teams wound up with some good showings in their respective meets last night. The Saber girls took sixth in the 100 hurdles, and the sprint and distance medley relays, and were seventh out of eight teams in attendance at Lamoni. The Saints’ Chase Wetterling won the 100 and 200 meter dashes, while Waylon Balk continued his strong season by converting the highest jump in the field events. Megan Roush placed in the 100, and Sydney Suntken also placed in the 100 and 400 meter hurdles, taking fourth in each.
