Marion County is again participating in the “Click-It or Ticket” program for the Memorial Day holiday.

Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt says the purpose is to encourage and enforce people into wearing their seatbelts.
Sandholdt says while 93 percent of citizens are wearing their seatbelts, the seven percent that don’t account for 46 percent of the fatalities on Iowa roads.
Sandholdt also encourages people to be responsible with their alcohol usage over the Memorial Day Holiday.
The campaign will continue through May 31st.
