Central College will hold commencement for the class of 2015 today.
The ceremony is at 2 p.m. in the Kuyper Fieldhouse, where 337 students will receive degrees in 36 majors. The ceremony features Class of ‘87 graduate Markay Winston, who will address graduates with her speech, “Be Bold. Take Risks. Live Your Best Life!” Winston is now chief officer of diverse learner supports and services for Chicago Public Schools. The class of 2015 will also present the renovation of the Maytag Student Center’s outdoor patio as their class gift. The Symphonic Wind Ensemble will perform at 1:30 p.m. Doors open for commencement at 12:30 p.m.
