The Knoxville School Board was told that budgeting for the current fiscal year has gone so well, a budget amendment will not be needed.
Superintendent Cassi Murra told KNIA/KRLS News most districts need budget amendments to shift funds around even if their bottom line is fine. She’s pleased the district is putting up strong numbers and wanted to show the board and the public why changes weren’t needed.
Murra credits a spreadsheet created by district business manager Craig Mobley for helping keep their finances on track.
