This is Public Works Week and Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch will make a proclamation today honoring those who provide and maintain the nation’s infrastructure and services.

Knoxville Wastewater Superintendent Pat Murphy says this week they will give 5th graders at Northstar Elementary a chance to see their vehicles and equipment, as well as discover what Public Works is all about with their annual outdoor presentation.
The event will take place in front of Northstar on Tuesday morning.
