The PCM girls’ track and field team proved last night that it’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog. With the smallest squad in attendance at last night’s Heart of Iowa Conference meet in Saydel, the Mustangs finished in fourth place with 85 total points. Gilbert won the event with 136.5. Rachel Peter won the 3000 meter run, and placed third in the 1500. Teammate Baylee Smith was fifth in the latter of the two events. The Mustang distance medley relay team also can call themselves conference champions with their first place finish. PCM had eight top-three finishes on the night. Full team results are below.
