The Pella and Knoxville boys golf teams competed in the Class 3A District Tournament at Bos Landen Golf Course in Pella yesterday. The Little Dutch were one stroke short of moving on to the State Tournament, taking 3rd place with a team score of 334. Head Coach Bob Fessler says it’s a tough way to see his senior-heavy squad end their season, but he’s proud of how well they played in their final meet as a team. Senior Corey Elliott is moving on to State after he turned in a 73 and took the runner-up medalist spot. He’ll be joined by Knoxville junior Ben Galeaazi, who placed 3rd with his round of 77. The Panthers finished in 5th place as a team with a 357. Full results can be found below.
