In a game full of many highlights, according to head coach Jesse Jablonski, the No. 5-ranked Pella High baseball team slaughtered the Polar Bears of Des Moines North last night, 13 – 0 in five innings. Tanner Wood had two hits, Tyler Hillman was 2-for-3 at the dish, hitting his first career home run, Grant Judkins had three hits and three RBIs, and Landon Vander Leest had two doubles that each hit the wall on the fly. Lucas Hileman earned the win on the mound, allowing only two hits in five innings of work to get his first career varsity win. The Little Dutch are now 3 – 0 on the season, and they’ll continue their four-game homestand with a visit from Carlisle on Monday.
