The Pella Lady Dutch soccer team knew they would be in for a very tough match against number one in Class 1A Nevada on Thursday. The contest lived up to the billing in a very physical contest before the Cubs ran away with it late and won 4-1. Head Coach Mark Howard says ten days between games didn’t help matters against a team as athletic and talented as Nevada. Kayla Langstraat scored the lone Lady Dutch goal early in the first half. Pella falls to 6-1 on the season and will return to conference action Tuesday when they host Norwalk.
