The term “spring” has almost become synonymous with “Pleasantville girls’ golf success.” The Trojans and Coach Dan Calhoun proved it again yesterday, in the Class 1A regional final in Anita at Crestwood Hills Golf Course. Pleasantville won by 28 strokes over River Valley with a total team score of 373, thanks to the top three golfers proudly sporting the orange and black. Hannah Gordon was the meet medalist, with the low score of 85. Bailey Oliva was right there with a 91 for second place, and Avari Heinz-Pence shot a 93. Pleasantville’s region was the only one to finish 18 holes of golf due to the weather yesterday, so they’ll rest up and prepare to play again on the the Ames Golf & Country Club course on June 1 and 2.
