Twin Cedars’ boys’ track and field team came away the runners-up in yesterday’s Bluegrass Conference meet at Lamoni. The Sabers finished with 139 points, only 29 behind Lamoni, who had 168. Among first place finishers for Twin Cedars include Dave Williams winning the 400 hurdles, Jake Crozier out-threw the competition in the shot put, Hunter Swope won both the mile and two-mile runs, and the 4 x 100 and 200 meter relays teams each took the gold. Twin Cedars’ girls came in tenth place, with Maddie DeWit finishing third place in the 100 meter hurdles. For Melcher-Dallas, the boys came in sixth place; Waylon Balk won the high jump, Chase Wetterling placed first in the 100 at 11.54 seconds, and also in the 200 at 23.38. The Saints’ girls finished ninth. Megan Roush took second in the 100 meter dash, and Sydney Suntken was fourth in the 100 meter hurdles. A full rundown of results can be accessed by clicking below.
