Taking on the No. 14 team in the state in Class 1A, the PCM girls’ soccer team hung in with Gilbert, but eventually fell, 3 – 0. The score was just 1 – 0 at the half, and Coach Bill Sowder tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that his Mustangs played very good defense, but hopes they find some consistency here in the latter half of their season. PCM drops to 4 – 9 on the season, and they will play C-M-B for a second time this year on Monday. PCM’s boys also fell to Gilbert last night, 9 – 0, and they are at Newton this Friday.
