He was the last man standing for the Central men’s golf team. Desmond Stoll completed his collegiate golf career with a final-round 78 to finish tied for 34th place at the NCAA Division III Championship yesterday in North Carolina. Stoll’s final hole was a birdie on the scoresheet to end his playing career for the Dutch, who finished 16th overall as a team, failing to make the cut by one stroke after day two. Stoll was the Iowa Conference player of the year, and Central as a team will graduate him and four other seniors that finished no worse than second place at any regular season meet during the 2014-15 campaign.
