The relays once again were the strong suit for the Pleasantville boys’ track and field team, as they carried the Trojans to a runner-up finish in the Pride of Iowa Conference meet yesterday at Nodaway Valley. Pleasantville finished second to only Mount Ayr, scoring 78 team points. Among the first place victories include the 4 x 100 and 200 meter relay teams, Zeb Adreon and Trever Zoss went 1-2 in the 100 meter dash, Kirk Wicks and Adreon were 2-3 in the 200 meters, and the 4 x 400 meter relay team grabbed second place. Coach Brian Harken for the Trojan girls tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that his gals are still battling various illnesses at the moment. They were led by Madison Thill’s fifth place 200 meter dash performance, and their 4 x 800 meter relay team was fifth.
