Getting more competition in before postseason tournaments start this week and next, Pleasantville’s boys’ and girls’ golf teams experienced varying levels of success in Colfax-Mingo last night. The Trojan girls shot a team score of 199. They were the only school to have enough golfers to field a team score. Hannah Gordon was the meet medalist with her mark of 46, and both Bailey Oliva and Alli Friday were the runners-up with rounds of 48. On the boys’ side, they were second overall with a score of 199. The Trojans were just 15 strokes behind the host Tigerhawks. Joe Day was the runner-up medalist with a nine-hole round of 44, and Cassin Garr shot a 46. Melcher-Dallas had a team score of 264, led by Conner Dawson’s 59 and Garrett Dixon’s 63.
