U.S. Congressman Dave Loebsack met with the Pella Rotary Club on Tuesday.
Loebsack spoke about issues he’s working on at the Capitol, including education, infrastructure, and energy policy. He says that the biggest concern he’s heard from constituents is the lack of bipartisanship.
“The frustration with Congress, the frustration with things not getting done–I hear that just about everywhere I go,” Loebsack says. “That’s why I try to focus on the things that can be done…I think we can agree on education, I think we can all agree on infrastructure.”
“There are certain things that we can come together on, it’s a question of getting us together and the leadership getting together.”
Loebsack also responded to questions from constituents about term limits, the Pella to I-80 connector route, and the proposed Bakken pipeline.
