By a slim margin of 83 strokes, the Pleasantville girls’ golf team advanced to the Class 1A regional final after shooting a day-low 360 on their home course in the first round of the regional tournament on Monday. Mount Ayr finished second with a score of 443. Four of the five Trojan golfers also advanced to the finals; Bailey Oliva was the meet medalist with a round of 87, the runner-up was Alli Friday, who shot a 90. Hannah Gordon carded a 91 and Avari Heinz-Pence scored 92. Pleasantville will golf a week from today in the regional finals at Crestwood Hills Golf Course in Anita.
