It was a Norwalk sweep on the softball diamond last night. The Warriors won two over Pella Christian, 3 – 0 and 8 – 1. Brooke Mitrisin had a double and a run scored in game two, and Natalie Vos also doubled. PC split on the baseball field with the Warriors, losing game one, 10 – 2, but taking the nightcap, 4 – 1. The Eagles racked up 12 hits; Jason Holwerda scored two runs on two hits: a triple and a single. Dillon Branderhorst knocked a pair of doubles, while earning the win on the mound by giving up just one run on three hits. The Eagles’ girls drop to 16 – 6, the boys are now 9 – 15; the softball team hosts a tournament this weekend, and baseball will play this Monday at Sigourney.
