Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada plans to make his recommendations to the Knoxville City Council today on changes to city code regarding golf carts.

Losada says one restriction he would like to see implemented is requiring everyone in a golf cart to be seated. He believes this will eliminate those who try to carry other people, particularly small children, in their laps.
Another recommendation is that if seat belts are installed on a golf cart, then they must be used.
Losada says the state of Iowa doesn’t require seat belts on golf carts because they’re not registered vehicles.
