The Knoxville Baseball Squad put a lot of distance between itself and the rest of the South Central Conference last night by taking two games against Davis County. The opener saw the Panthers win 2-0 finishing a game that was suspended from a couple of weeks ago. Jake Kendall got the win while Tony Salato earned the save. In the nightcap, Knoxville survived five errors and got timely hitting in a 5-3 victory. Kevin Woodhouse earned the win pitching four innings of relief allowing just one run on four hits and three strikeouts to move his record to 5-0 on the season. He also extended his hitting streak to 25 games. Salato went 3/4 and earned his second save of the night. Knoxville is now 19-3 on the season and 13-0 in the South Central Conference. The Panthers now have a three-game lead on Davis County with five to play, all of which are at home. Knoxville will host Perry in a varsity double header tonight.
