A five run third inning broke open a tight game as the Knoxville Baseball Squad pounded Albia last night 10-1. The Panthers got going early when Jake Kendall helped his own cause in the first inning getting a sacrifice fly to centerfield to score Tony Salato, who led off the game with a double. Kevin Woodhouse would come home later to make it 2-0. Salato continued his hot hitting in the third inning with a solo homer to right field and the Panther hit parade was on. Kendall earned the win going six innings and striking out seven Blue Demon batters. Coach Joel Johnson told KNIA/KRLS Kendall pitched very well and his defense behind him did the rest. Tony Salato continued his torrid hitting going 4/4 and two R-B-I, lacking a triple for the cycle. Knoxville improves to 7-1 on the season and 4-0 in South Central Conference play.
