To say Knoxville Baseball has been swinging hot bats would be an understatement. In week one, the Panthers outscored four opponents by a combined score of 49-3. Those bats stayed hot as Knoxville swept a pair of games at Bondurant-Farrar on Monday night by final scores of 11-1 and 5-4 in the nightcap. D.J. Snyder got the offense going in game one with a first inning two run home run as Knoxville jumped out to a 10-0 lead after just three innings. That was more than enough for pitcher Kevin Woodhouse who went all five innings and earned his second win on the mound. Game two was the first time all season that Knoxville failed to score in the opening frame. The Panthers would grind out the one run victory with clutch pitching from starter and winning pitcher Nolan Wallace, Tony Salato earned his first save of the season. Knoxville is now 6-0 and travels to Oskaloosa on Tuesday night.
