Marion County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Knoxville felon after an investigation uncovered meth and weapons in his home.

58-year-old Joe Tony Vrban has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Class C felony, felon in possession of a weapon, a Class D felony, serious assault causing injury, possession of marijuana, and first degree harassment.
According to court documents, Marion County deputies were called to a residence on Perry Street Wednesday around 12:30pm, after a report of an assault where Vrban allegedly struck another man several times during a heated argument.
After obtaining a search warrant, deputies found meth, along with scales and baggies in a machine shed on the property. Firearms and ammunition were also found inside the residence.
Vrban is being held on $60,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for Friday, July 2nd.
