Two more quality wins were notched by the Pella High softball team after their stay in Ankeny concluded on Saturday. The Lady Dutch prevailed 4 – 2 over Heelan and 7 – 6 versus Glenwood in eight innings. Elyse Sadler gave up just one earned run versus Heelan to get the win, while Kinzi Van Wyk notched the “W” on the rubber versus Glenwood. Sara Tallman was 4-for-8 at the plate for the day with three stolen bases, Kaylee Butler drove in the tying run against the Rams, and eventually scored the game-winning tally. Alexa Dingeman had three hits, Lydia Dingeman picked up four, and Hannah Emmert went 4-for-7 at the dish and accounted for the game-winning swing of the bat versus Glenwood. The Lady Dutch improve to 15 – 10 on the season, and they are back to conference play against No. 7-ranked Norwalk on Monday.
