Having just played one another just over two weeks ago, Pella High and Dallas Center – Grimes’ girls’ soccer teams take to the Cownie Soccer Complex this afternoon in the first round of the Class 2A state soccer tournament. The Fillies were victorious, 1 – 0, when the two teams played on May 27 with the Little Hawkeye Conference regular season title on the line. D-C-G, ranked second in the state, has only lost to a ranked Nevada team and to Johnston. Pella’s girls also have dropped a game to the Cubs, as well as to Ankeny Centennial.
