The Melcher-Dallas softball team came up just short on the road on Friday night to Seymour, 6-5. Seymour was able to win the game in the seventh inning on a walk off hit, the loss brings the Saints record to 6-12 on the year. Sydney Sunkten went 2-4 with two runs scored and four stolen bases on the night for the Saints. Despite the loss, head coach Nick Ellis has been pleased with how his team has been resilient this year and continues to get better each game. The Saints are back in action today in the Orient-Macksburg tournament.
