The Melcher-Dallas softball team exploded for a 12-1 road win in five innings on Tuesday night against Diagonal. Emilie Krpan was impressive in the circle for the Saints striking out nine in five innings of work and Kirsten Mull was 2-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Head coach Nick Ellis is pleased with how is team is starting to come together and that a different player is stepping up every night. The Saints are 8-13 on the year and take the field tonight on the road against Mormon Tail. The Melcher-Dallas baseball team came up just short on Tuesday night, as they fell to Colfax-Mingo on the road 6-5. The Saints had a 5-2 lead in the sixth, but could not hang on to pick up their first win of the year. Coy De Jong, Elijah Williams and Paul Krpan each had an RBI. The Saints are in action tonight on the road against Mormon Trail.
